In 2003, eight Rhode Islanders created a secret apartment within the busy providence shopping center and kept it for four years, filming everything along the way. Much more than a wild joke, the Secret Mall apartment became an incredibly significant act for all participants, at the same time an act of challenge against local gentrification, a work of public/private art that pushes the limits and a space of 750 square feet that leads to man.
